Celebrating 5 years and 27,000 books!

Since 2019, over 27,000 books valued at $264,000 have been gifted to children at Y Kinders bringing the joy of reading into the homes of thousands of families.

45 Y Kinders have participated over the last 5 years, with books from the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the “Book Gifting” program helping build home libraries and encouraging families to read with their children.

Made possible with School Readiness Funding, and Y Kinders’ support, these initiatives lead to impacts beyond the original recipients. Books are passed down through families and then on to other community members, spreading opportunities to build literacy and a love of reading.
